"Grasshopper Reflects" recently selected for exhibit at Christensen Center Art Gallery, Minneapolis, MN http://www.augsburg.edu/galleries/ About the Photographs/Artistic Statement
Lisa strives to produce images that balance "feel" for the subject while adding a bit of artistic flair. "I shoot primarily to combine my interest in photography and art. Today's world is flooded with so many images. It is through my unique experiences that I try to produce something remarkable, something unusual to make it stand out for others to enjoy.
I look forward to partnering with writers, publishers and organizations a handful of times per year. They put their ideas into words and I take on the challenge to produce images that create compelling visual information to complement and enhance the broadcasting power of their work. As any artist would say, it's always pleasing to know what you've created is appreciated."
About the Photographer
Lisa obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology from Purdue University and a Masters in Business Administration from Augsburg College. During this time she learned photography via workshops but is mostly self taught. Also, you'll notice a fair bit of fly fishing photos...Lisa explains: "After a few summers rock climbing in Wyoming, I needed a rest day activity. It took one day of wading on the Snake and I was consumed...traded the ropes for a rod and reel and haven't looked back since."
On purely a part-time basis, when not pursuing the outdoors herself, she works with authors, free-lance writers, outdoor industry businesses, sporting guides and non-profit organizations. Please email Lisa if any of her images or interests fit your needs.
The photog gets a nice steelhead guided by professional wildlife artist Tim Pearson. Check out Tim's work at
